Fossil walrus ivory is found by chance in the villages of Alaska, where the materials lie for hundreds or even thousands of years. Natural colors vary depending upon where the tusks lie, and for how many years. Fossil walrus tusks are sliced, polished, matched, and set in Ivory Jacks' Pacific Northwest area studio with a 14kt gold chain.
