A symbol of life and rebirth, Fireweed is one of the first plants to grow after a wildfire. This beautiful plant has a rich history of medicinal and culinary uses with Native Americans. According to one Native American Legend, wildflowers are prayers transformed into flowers and sent back to earth.

Painting on face of seed packet is "Eagle River Summer" depicting the Eagle River Valley in Southcentral Alaska, complete with a field of blooming Fireweed and an adorable chickadee, by yours truly, Karen Whitworth.
