Photo description: There is no such thing as a bad day to hike in Alaska... Though this hike started out cloudy and wet the sun broke midway up Twin Peaks trail in Eklutna Lake and gave me that small window of opportunity to capture this shot of fall colors through the Birch.

Ed Boudreau is a landscape and nature photographer currently living in Eagle River, Alaska. Ed has been featured in Alaska Magazine and Last Frontier Magazine, and his work has been published in a variety of yearly calendars. His work has also won awards at the Alaska State Fair, Fur Rondy, Eagle River Bear Paw Festival, and Alaska Wild. He was awarded Alaska Magazine photo of the year in 2018 as well as the prestigious Rarified Light.

The metal medium allows for high definition and an almost 3-D effect. The inks are dye-infused onto a specially coated aluminum in a 400 degree heat press and sealed with a gemlike UV coating that is both waterproof and scratch resistant.
